The Maxair Hummer aircraft is a single seat, high wing, wire braced, taildragger. The stock single cylinder Zenoah 22hp has been upgraded to a 28hp rotax 277.

The Hummer uses bolt and rivet together aluminum construction with everything coming off it's main 5"OD boom tube. It The double surfaced wings and tail section are covered in dacron sailcloth.

The Hummer is a two axis control aircraft using an V tail with ruddervators. All of the controls for elevator, and rudder are operated from the stick through a very unique "mixer." With its 34ft wing spand the Characteristics of flight could be described as slugish and slow to respond
