The Avid Catalina is a three place airplane that can take-off of land or water. It's even better than amphibious floats because this airplane uses tundra tires and can taxi up on the beach.

The Catalina is an kit produced by Avid Aircraft. www.avidair.com The airplane was introduced in 1986 as the Avid Amphibian, but after many upgrades the model designation was changed to the Catalina in 1992.

The Catalina amphibious aircraft was formerly named Avid Amphibian.
