The Avid Catalina is a three place airplane that can take-off of land or water. It's even better than amphibious floats because this airplane uses tundra tires and can taxi up on the beach.

The Catalina is a kit produced by Avid Aircraft. www.avidair.com The airplane was introduced in 1986 as the Avid Amphibian, but after many upgrades the model designation was changed to the Catalina in 1992.
